Keys To Eternity

We see it all the time, and with more and more people.

A key chain that has a ton (OK, a pound) of various other keys, knickknacks, maybe a bottle opener and a cork screw. Even a small stuffed animal. Did you know that your car key is placed into a lock cylinder that allows your ignition to function?

When you hang all those other items off of your car key while driving, all that weight is leveraged up against your ignition switch and the lock mechanism as you bounce down the road.

That is a lot of weight. And a lot of wear.

If you really love having all those fun (and sometimes useful!) items with your car key, may we suggest you include a quick attach key chain that you can disconnect from the pile of fun stuff while your key is in the ignition?

Who doesn’t want a pinecone owl and bottle opener with them wherever they go? Just don’t let them ride hanging from the ignition. The ignition switch you save will be your own.
